Solutions

Metal structures, partially or completely exposed to atmospheric agents, (gates, railings and railings) require specific products for their effective protection and defence against atmospheric aggressions and corrosion. To successfully achieve this result, D’AQUA developed a series of waterborne paints, like enamels, topcoats and primer, able to protect the metal from weather elements.

Waterborne primer

The anti-rust waterborne primer is a special paint used for the corrosion protection of metal structures placed outdoor. Formulated with acrylic resins and containing zinc phosphates, in synergy with the anticorrosive and passivating pigments, it guarantees excellent adhesion, protection from rust and maximum resistance to outdoor conditions.

Warnings

Designed for direct applications on bare metal, it is also suitable for maintenance or restoration work on already painted surfaces. In this case, it is necessary to remove rust, dirt and flakes of the old coatings by sanding or brushing, before applying it.

Why use a waterborne primer?

Because metal must be protected from corrosion, an inexorable enemy that degrades the material quickly. Therefore, for maximum protection and to make the product long-lasting, maximum cleaning and integrity of the metal the substrate is recommended.

Ferromicaceous waterborne enamel

The ferromicaceous waterborne enamel is a paint used for the protection and decoration of metal and iron substrates placed outside. Formulated with micaceous iron oxide, laminated aluminium and zinc phosphate, it guarantees an effective defence against deterioration and corrosion. The created coating has waterproofing properties, and it provides to the painted substrate a metallic appearance.

Warnings

In the case of new applications on iron, galvanized steel or aluminium substrates, we always recommend sanding, brushing or washing with specific detergents. If it is a matter of restoring or retouching old paints, it is necessary to remove rust, dirt and flakes from the old coatings.

Why use a ferromicaceous enamel?

Because metal must be protected from corrosion, an inexorable enemy that degrades the material quickly. Therefore, for maximum protection and to make the product long-lasting, cleaning and integrity of the metal support are recommended.

Waterborne enamels

Coloured waterborne enamels for metal are an alternative to the IX2190 ferromicaceous topcoat. They are also used as the last step of painting gates, railings and metal furniture in general; they personalize them and make them long-lasting. They are applicable by spray or brush.

Formulated with latest generation resins and pigments, they are reinforced with highly shielding UV absorbers, that protect effectively the coated substrate from the atmospheric agents, preserving its beauty and functionality.

Warnings

The enamels of the IY15 and IZ17 series must be applied on metal treated with the grey anti-rust primer IV1180.

Why use a waterborne enamel?

Because the metal must be protected and prepared for painting and the presence of anti-rust allows the enamel to anchor properly to the metal, in addition to allowing optimal uniformity of colour.
